What is with the cold blob over central va and north-central nc. It's a cold hole surrounded by warmer temps in each direction, from Richmond to Raleigh.
We got smoked like a cheap cigar up at Cataloochie this afternoon. Beautiful snow showers. Heavy pockets of frozen back down I40 into Candler. Jimmy deluxe!!
Wilkes doesn’t always do good. This is one of those setups. Too far west and off the mountain. Double killer.

Today's weather is just nasty. Hope to see some flakes later, but doubt it.
Man it is cold outside. I'm down to 35 at the house. Maybe I will get to see that stray snow flake or two.

We had mid/upper 30’s with frozen precip all the way back down I40 towards Asheville. Upper atmosphere is favorable. Just cross your fingers and squint.
