Also, clippers typically don't produce snow in Atlanta. They may produce a brief line of rain showers as the parent low tracks through TN/KY into northern NC and VA. Many times long range models improperly drive the short wave too far south. It will be correctly modeled once we are within 60 hours and you will see most, if not all of the precipitation stays north of Atlanta.Hey guys I’m new here. Don’t know what to tell yah ?? rain cold live in a valley? I’m in apex and we definitely had an hour or so of calm winds which picked up there after .. now it’s gusty then calm then gusty then calm .. pretty classic
Check out the 12/23/2022, 12z NAM. It has the right idea.Hey guys I’m new here. Been just reading in here for the last few years but I believe this is my first post. Yea I kinda figured it was about a 0 chance based on what I’ve tracked historically…. BUT… I figured maybe we had a slight chance given how crazy this cold shot is hahaAlso, clippers typically don't produce snow in Atlanta. I'm just playing man. It's gusty here too...it's just been about the same all day except for the bigger spike when the front was coming through.Don’t know what to tell yah ?? rain cold live in a valley? Not once has the 84 Nam ever had the right idea. I'm leaning toward the clipper being dry. But the GFS still gives some hope.Check out the 12/23/2022, 12z NAM. It has the right idea.

Doesn't look like Lake Norman is going to produce any lake effect this go round. I still find it thrilling to imagine just the same. So cool to see it happening in TN tho! Glad u shared this...Lake effect/river effect snow occurring in the Tennessee valley

The GEFS keeps the snow confinged to TN and north of there. My snow mean is 0". It's not just the NAM keeping it dry. Regardless, I'm still hoping for an after Christmas miracle! I keep watching the runs, hoping it changes for the better. Not once has the 84 Nam ever had the right idea. I'm leaning toward the clipper being dry. But the GFS still gives some hope.
