should be there shortly, snowing good here in centralTishomingo County, MS Sherriff dept reporting some slick roads. Still don’t see anything here.
Why is the modeling doing such a poor job of initiating correctly this morning? The precip is much more widespread based on surface obs than what is being depicted at initialization…you got to think that it would throw the whole run off?Snow starting to accumulate on Grassy surfaces in northern Alabama View attachment 128661
And the hrrr is completely missing the developing band in eastern Tennessee right now, doing very poorly right now View attachment 128662View attachment 128664
Was just through this band on my way to Tennessee and nothing fell so it is in fact dry.View attachment 128665I know it’s not hitting the ground but returns are filling in across NW GA
This. Wet bulbs are in the lower 30s/upper 20s across much of the SE atmSkyrocketed from 16F to 40F today, but it’s falling back, and for those who say it’s to warm, the dew point is -1F. This is just like the high country of Colorado if you’ve never been. You can be short sleeves and 40F, but have a snow squall and 20 degrees in a matter of minutes.
Needs to expand 30 miles NW! This isn't far from a decent little event for many, too bad we don't have a gulf tap.Hrrr holds serve View attachment 128660
