I wouldn’t be surprised if Euharlee is getting snow showers off of plant Bowen. It looks like a thunderhead building with that steam cloud.
Yeah, it's incredible that it's still 19 at 10am at the WFO in Charleston.Struggling to get out of teens this AM in Charleston. Can’t remember it being colder except for the 2018 snow.
Not happening. This clipper has been nailed for days…and it sucks! So, so close. Can we just work a little on that tilt dangit!

Ridge out west is moving too fast to the east. We need a stable west coast ridge and it isn't happening right nowSo, so close. Can we just work a little on that tilt dangit!

Maybe models, for ex the NAM is way to aggressive with the low level dry air, it has been the last day ever since the Arctic air moved in, I really see a shot of someone outside the mountains seeing flurries, and maybe a coating. The dynamics associated with the northern stream energy is pretty good, and Convective in natureWe suck. Convective look with a linear, forward propagating band of snow aloft with omega in the DGZ, band entering in Convective style jumping the mountains and forming off a Lee trough like summer convection/a MCS, but low level drying kills it. yeah no way we hit 3019 here nearing 11:30. Can't imagine we get anywhere near our forecast of 30 today.
Sun angle,,,,LOL. only kidding....yeah no way we hit 30
My auxiliary heat aka furnace keeeps kicking in when temp difference gets too big. Heat pump can keep it at 66, I have thermostat at 71 lolNot really, it just keeps it bearable, mine hasn't cut off and probably won't until Monday afternoon.
You can see the steam cloud just north of it from Bowen that i mentioned earlier.Flurry maker

There have also been "flurry reports" off and on from downwind of some of the power plant cooling towers I did see a "plume" show on a Satellite photo earlier this morning from area of Plant Bowden in NW GA but could not copy it to post here. I may show here as the "small short" plume NE of the larger one.Flurry maker

That's impressive cold when the cooling towers mist freezes and creates flurries. Happens all winter in Pennsylvania but I've never seen it down here...pretty dang neatThere have also been "flurry reports" off and on from downwind of some of the power plant cooling towers I did see a "plume" show on a Satellite photo earlier this morning from area of Plant Bowden in NW GA but could not copy it to post here. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth come Monday. One frigid night isn’t bad but when you have three, RIP outside faucets.Made it down to 5 last night in the Triad. One of our hot water pipes apparently froze up, so trying to work that out now.
Impressive
I remember Christmas of 83. It was 5 degrees and I got a new bike. I rode it for a few feet and said screw that I'm going inside.3k lows Christmas Morning. Best of luck to those with Santy Claus bringing outside toys
