Struggling to get out of teens this AM in Charleston. Can’t remember it being colder except for the 2018 snow.
Yeah, it's incredible that it's still 19 at 10am at the WFO in Charleston.

Side note: i set out a 6 pack of Mountain Dew bottles for some ice cold ones to see how quick it chills

We suck. Convective look with a linear, forward propagating band of snow aloft with omega in the DGZ, band entering in Convective style jumping the mountains and forming off a Lee trough like summer convection/a MCS, but low level drying kills it. Maybe models, for ex the NAM is way to aggressive with the low level dry air, it has been the last day ever since the Arctic air moved in, I really see a shot of someone outside the mountains seeing flurries, and maybe a coating. The dynamics associated with the northern stream energy is pretty good, and Convective in nature 32EEB6EC-4F98-422C-B2D6-94618DE914F4.gif

Hit 5 here this morning, Got to wonder if this will be the coldest we see this winter with as unprecedented this cold air was. I for one hope it’s the coldest, heat pump hasn’t shut off since Thursday night when front came through. Needs to warm up and snow lol

There have also been "flurry reports" off and on from downwind of some of the power plant cooling towers I did see a "plume" show on a Satellite photo earlier this morning from area of Plant Bowden in NW GA but could not copy it to post here. I may show here as the "small short" plume NE of the larger one.

You can see the steam cloud just north of it from Bowen that i mentioned earlier.

That's impressive cold when the cooling towers mist freezes and creates flurries. Happens all winter in Pennsylvania but I've never seen it down here...pretty dang neat

Made it down to 5 last night in the Triad. One of our hot water pipes apparently froze up, so trying to work that out now.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth come Monday. One frigid night isn’t bad but when you have three, RIP outside faucets.
