Wintry Dec 8-10th Winter Storm

Me and Mack are riding the rain/snow line! You couldn’t draw this up any better. The only way this could have been better is if we didn’t waste 1.75” of QPF to rain earlier today :(
 
Last fv3 map I'll post for this storm, I hope it's right but I'm afraid it has a lesson to learn in warm noses...

It is definitely not as exciting as snow, but the wind has been gusting over 40 miles an hr in north Jefferson county alabama over the last couple of hours...was this supposed to be?
 
It’s been freezing rain up here now for over 2 hours. I really hope it flips to snow cause I don’t want any power outages.

Edit: All my Christmas lights and inflatables are ice covered. Never seen that before!
Yeah my inflatables are down for the count
 
Snowing moderately with over 2” on the deck and lackluster reflectivity overhead, 25dbz returns inbound are keeping me up.

...NO ACCUMULATION OR WINTER WEATHER IMPACTS EXPECTED...

Some areas of north and west Georgia have reported sleet or snow
mixed with rain. This is expected but based on current and
forecast temperatures, no accumulation or impacts to roads, trees
and power lines are expected overnight and Sunday morning.

The precipitation should begin to taper off later this morning
while temperatures remain nearly steady.
