Hmmm.... if this is correct, not sure how I feel about that. Almost sounds like they aren't closing because no case has been linked to schools, so we wait till cases are? Nobody wants schools to close I get that, but they are also like a petri dishWhat have you heard?
They arent allowing anyone in from 8 to 3:30. Guess they havent figured out kids parents will be coming from all over, home every night. Kids will transmit to each other next day at school and carry home to respective families. Great way to speed up transmission.North Carolina schools just like with Winter weather and everything else will be playing catch up on closing, it will be some last minute decisions that will tick parents off because there was no time to plan. Mark my words on that
They need the govenor to do it. If its by the district they have to make up the time. Thats the reasoning.Well reports were the Governor was being asked by school districts to close all schools.... but tbh, my wife (a teacher) just got an email that stayed they will not be closing
This makes sense and is what should happen, these are unchartered times with extreme extenuating circumstances. It's really an easy decision and these days would be forgiven. They need the govenor to do it. If its by the district they have to make up the time. Thats the reasoning.
The same thing is happening at my mom's school system in GA, she has to report because she's in a non-teaching role. They are saying all non-teaching staff has to come in from 8-4 next week. How in the world are they going to clean the schools with people there???Why would schools close for students but faculty still have to report? The faculty and staff at most risk. That’s the case in the 2 counties closing in S.C.
