I absolutely love living rural !! Wouldn’t trade it for the world. Sounds like S Chicago here as well. Aside from staying up for the New Year, keeping my two rescue girl dogs comfortable as they don’t like it so much.
You know exactly where this is going to end up.
So much blocking, the storm gets blocked south, around the world, and ends up north. Can't win

Well, Just like last winter going to be another ghost of THE BEST PATTERN WE HAVE HAD SINCE 1776 COMING UP IN 10 DAYS etc...... It just can't get VERY cold or snow around here anymore, something big has changed. Sorry my rant for the night.

The GFS was showing the Monday storm inside 7 days and less than 24 hours later it started looking worse.
I hope it warms up into the 60s and 70s so I play golf!

Yeah I really thought Sunday was gonna be our storm but apparently not. That's not allowed anymore

LOL, these models are on crack. One forecast I saw was Atlanta's lowest of 26; it was 6 yesterday????

Shoot, I’d cash out now on the 6z GFS for late next week. It’s what I’ve had the most interest in anyway and it’s already just about too warm. It’s barely enough, thought it wasn’t until I looked, it’s wet snow around 32 degrees and the best event I’ve seen since 2015 when I was in the northern part of the state hypothetically.
Although I know I probably shouldn’t be nitpicking as there are still plenty of whiffs on the ensembles, though it was good that the EPS last night supported it some in spite of the Euro whiffing…

GFS can't make up it's mind. The storm for Monday it had 48 hours ago is gone, but now it has a storm for the 11th and 12th. Apparently we're sitting pretty now, but I have seen this movie before. Color me skeptical.

Yeah 6th storm is a cold cold rain for most in NC. I’m out on that one. See if we can hang on to the thread the 10th is hanging on to.
