A lot of folks getting upset about only having possibly a few week window to get a really good winter storm don’t realize a majority of the time our windows aren’t that large or this favorable down here. This is a good look even by modern standards.

This was Beech mountain back on December 20 2011. I know because I took this picture. It can always get worse. We’ve had a fortunate month temperature wise. Don’t let recency bias get the best of you. 
Just for the record, weeklies saw a big snowfall increase across lower VA and most of NC. Danville almost had a 100% increase.
If they are getting excited out in Texas then we should temper our expectations.
That makes absolutely no sense. The top three snowstorms in Dallas line up with three major Carolina events.
