I honestly just use chrome on my phone

I totally understand if folks want to use an app like tapa it makes life easy but they aren't the best business partners.

Our forum software used to support a stand alone app but they no longer do. If we ever really go big on a donation drive we might use that to go with a software that has an app but the cost delta between current software and the software id like to have isn't small

1.) if only I had time, I could cover iOS. I am picky as hell and am a senior iOS dev. But ------, stupid time and a real job (which isn’t weather related, but I actually love tf out of it).

2.) there was an android dev with the same values in making something that doesn’t make me want to set my lithium ion based device on fire.

But if ya ever need someone in lower capacity…. Or help with anything iOS side (App Store review insanity)…. Feel free to hit me up.

My question is this. With a weather forum, what is the point of an app, vs a bookmark icon on the phone screen? Sure, people could "discover" the site through the app store, but the traffic would be minimal, versus app store listing cost, etc.. imo.

I expect the cold to modify (still cold) some as we get closer in the time frame. I can see this gulf low moving north as we get closer. I seen and heard this song all before. Dang, I can't remember the storm when they system was heading to Tampa and then closer to the event time frame, the system hugged the coast...I think January 2011 storm (I think that was an overrunning event)

Jan 11 is my all timer. Not my highest total but far and away the best powder I’ve ever seen around these parts. 7”+ of pixie dust capped off with a little ZR at the very end. Magic

It’s dumb to consider an app like this outside a labor of love. As terrible as Tapatalk is, it’s good enough. They know it. And they are coasting on their dreadful mediocrity. They do nothing beyond bug fixes and crossing fingers that the next major iOS release doesn’t break their buggy mess.

But… anywho. Just sayin’, if ya ever need an expert in this area, I’m happy to help with what expertise I have.

And we got dryslotted that morning here in the upstate or would have been even more.

Yep. Mine melted a week later from rain that was long modeled to be snow on top of snow. I am still mad at that rain for washing all my snow away.
