Misc Cold Season Complaining

I'm still finding it remarkable here that you're seeing what used to be weather nerd type stuff spill over to social media. Made a mild joke saying that this is what's likely leading to continuation of a winter weather drought elsewhere.

The kid in me really wants for there to be some way for the 6z GFS to verify though. It was fantasy land, but not complete, total lala land.

Same with Atlanta, but Atlanta is far higher above sea level than Raleigh.

Heck as much as it's seemed snowy here(maybe relative to back east) we've had several major busts in the final day! the last two winters

We probably won't know whether it's suppression city or big dog glory until Saturday/Sunday.

Yeah I mean we're not even sure what Sunday is gonna be like here yet... We could have nothing but rain or a full blown snowstorm at this point

You can extrapolate that
 
Public service anouncement / reminder. We cross the proverdial 120hr mark with Tommorow nights 0z runs. Actually almost there with storm # 1 (jan5th) for western TN areas. Usually you start seeing a consensus get honed in on at that point. We may be seeing it tonight. 0z and Tommorows 12z will be judge and jury. I want let myself get sucked in on an event till it gets under 120 hr mark. But im starting to get the warm fuzzies for Jan 5th.

I honestly think that one will do more For a lot of places, and I think models will start trending better for it
