Even at <48hrs I still recall this disappointment for mby

Thank goodness for the following year, otherwise my memory on this one would’ve been a LOT longer. Was in Chapel Hill for that one. The real time radar watching on that one was brutal.

I was back closer to you for that one in Davidson. We had half a foot while uptown had an inch of slop. It did get really cold afterward.

That storm kept me on edge from start to finish. I'm in the extreme northern part of Wake County in the 4+ zone. That was all sleet for me which made it a great storm. But everybody to the south and east of me had to fight a rain mixture. I hate always having the transition line near me. I want to see the snow line down near Goldsboro.

That one prompted an all-time meltdown on the boards. @Rain Cold put out a perfect “What did we learn here?” thread afterwards and mostly reminded everyone the lesson of “when the NAM spots a warm nose, ignore it at your own risk."

Cripes! If this is a precursor the site will be down come next weekend thru the following week.
Actually, at the risk of sounding selfish--the less that know about this place the better come January.

SD just sent me a text. He wanted to apologize and for me to let you guys know he is headed to PetsMart now to buy a new hamster. Bridget escaped around 10:30 and he stepped on her when he was getting out of the shower

The trend has been bad since the GFS Showed 12-24 inches for northern NC. Now storm 1 and 2 are warm rain and 3 is squashed .

Kitty Dump in the building!
