Can you guys imagine if we had this storm with these rates for that second Jan event ? where it was like 14 degrees out ?.... especially with the ratios of 15-17/1 at .5-.8QPF

Well there you go. That's why it melted so fast. When you are way under 32 then the sun angle isnt nearly as much of a factor.

Slowly but surely pulling this out of SC. Somehow Charlotte will get 1 inch out of this leaving upstate SC as the only area not seeing 1 inch amounts this winter. It is simply not meant to happen here anymore.

I went back and looked .... I was 11 My pawpaw had died a few days before that and we had his funeral that AM and it snowed that night and my whole family was surprised granted we had been preoccupied lolIf im not Mistaken I was in 7th Grade at NW Cabarrus and that was the year we missed so many days we had to go on Saturdays for 2 weeks bc County ran out of make up days. TBH, it wasn't like the 60s and stuff but being a Kid in the Western Piedmont in the 90s/00s wasn't too shabby 2-3 events most years minor ones but still I feel like it snowed 2-4x a season. I used to always be upset bC Iredell/ Rowan/Catawba county schools always had snow days sometimes when I didn't lol and back then was way more I-40 and North than now. They used to get 1-2 events a year more than us
It's out east when you're back here in the hills. It's like another country.

As far as lingo goes I’ve always said “down east” or “ down south”. However when it comes to the west I’ve always said “out west”. Who knows why.

What a time to be alive, the Birdman saying im getting 2-4 tomm. Wild thing is these things if you get under these things they normally over perform. Think Chester SC Feb 2013 , Maybe Upstate idk can't remember
We got 2-3” in southern Greenville county in the upper 30’s and it was even better as you went east

Honestly Charlotte doesn’t feel like it’s part of NC. Like Raleigh and Eastern nc are their own thing
weirdly emotional evening. Just knowing that’s almost certainly my last college snow and just will miss good times with friends I have here

Yeah with all events I’d estimate 3 inches for me. Probably it for mby this year.
I’d give it a B-. It was actually winter with solid cold periods, but had to dock it for just lack of a solid snow event for mby. But an A+ considering the last 3 years.
