Misc Cold Season Complaining

That thing is wildfire right now, just had norovirus, and my girl, also some of my family. It’s spreads quick before you feel the symptoms as you start to shed the virus but not know your sick. It’s a dreadful, horrific bug that I wouldn’t wish on my worse enemy
I had norovirus a couple years ago on vacation. It was terrible. I lied in bed for two straight days basically delirious since I was also severely dehydrated because I couldn’t keep anything down (and I also couldn’t keep anything in, if you know what I mean lol). Day for day, worse illness I’ve ever had.

That area just won't fill in. Has to be the storm is so weak in the gulf, and when the energy transfers to the coast, everything just jumps east. 💩

Its slow and we may not get there.... but its coming around imo. I mean NWS has Western Rowan at 2-3" at my old house so its literally a matter of like 10 miles one way or another. But i really dont think .2-.3" QPF tomm is out of question. We will have a better shot for Thursday imo

1-2 tomm and 1-2 Thursday take the split and the 6" Season and head to spring

@Myfrotho704_ no joke, Conklin just said ALL RAIN Meck and points South and Union, stanly and parts of Cabarrus. AM i missing something?

If it was John Ahrens id just assume he was drunk again, i mean it is almost noon. But Conklin normally solid idk

I bet the gulf convection, mountains, positive tilt weak wave or whatever else won't stop the precip from flooding in here during our next rain storm. I really hate this hobby. Actually probably can't call it a hobby. A hobby is something you enjoy. Don't know what you call this. Unwanted passion maybe? But usually when something frustrates you this bad you lose your passion for it.

He’s trying to keep expectations low, hopefully. Mixing is definitely an issue but all rain is taking it a little too far. Also seems like the crew on WBTV doesn’t go as in depth as they used to with these types of storms. I remember back in the day they’d talk about the boom and bust potential. Now they just throw out a conservative forecast.

Unwanted passion sounds illegal

@rburrel2 it’s over man. Time to let this one go. Flurries is all we getting.
I think worst case scenario for my yard is a few hours of light/moderate snow that doesn't stick tomorrow between 8-11am. Could also start out as light rain, but should change to snow pretty fast when it picks up a little.

Best case scenario is a burst of moderate snow that does start sticking adds up to an inch or so. Maybe inch and half if we got really lucky.

Matter of fact time to let the whole winter go and forget this disaster. 60s and an awful pattern like the last couple years were better than this. At least we didn't have to watch everyone else score while we still achieve the same results.

@belowfreezing I was out off Patterson/Millbridge and 150. It never failed, in the few years I’ve lived here…. It may make a slight diff but idk it Mooresville is much diff than CLT CAD wise. I think you need to get out in the sticks a bit like Western Rowan/Troutman for it to matter. Although I’ve wondered bc it’s basically China Grove Latitude Wise but 15 miles West and China Grove is another one that does fairly well. So it’s gotta be some Rural vs All these stupid neighborhoods ect over here

12z GEFS with a substantial shift west with precip (12z vs. 06z below):

Yeah, regionally, big picture, this storm is such a weak sauce piece of crud. The decent qpf around the Mississippi just dies for 3 states, then doesn't pick up again until the jet stream in the Atlantic. The ticks back and forth are not going to change much I'm afraid. I needed more northern stream phasing, and I didn't get it.

I'm probably going to get more Thursday morning then I will tomorrow.

We had no problem getting qpf last week; over 5 inches in mby with temps in the 30s, now we are clawing to get hundreths since there's a possibility it could be frozen. We suck with winter weather.

Go to Winston Salem for it to matter. Best place to be. Always gets twice as much as Charlotte, can score with coastals, can score with CAD, just scores.

I'm going on Zillow tonight after work.

We can’t even do it anymore without an upper level low.

I hate that I care this much about frozen water!!
It's even more frustrating that the heaviest snow of this storm is gonna be a mere 10-15 miles away from my house. Am I being unthankful? Probably.
