Everyone around here might as well accept their fate. If it’s legit cold, no precip. If it’s legit precip, no cold. Faster we accept it the better off we will be.

Leaving out Wednesday for just outside of Boone. 8 Bedroom cabin (Rented TU - SU) Hoping for snow Thanksgiving evening into the morning… 🤞. Me personally, rolling back to the triad Saturday.
Regardless, I’m so blessed that I’ll be with family.

I'm just sitting back lurking and reading. I have nothing in the tank after the last few years and reading the board I'm not the only one. But I'd say it's way more likely than not we get nada. Just laws of averages say that. Good patterns show up all the time but our yearly averages are in the single digits. Tells you all you need to know

It's a realistic chance even out here

I personally will have higher hopes if the pattern reloads later in the month. It's still pretty early here. Much better chances in climo towards Christmas and January

No worries Brent, you live far enough north were the averages will bear out. If I have 2 winters in a row here with less than 2 inches of snow I can almost bet the house a big winter storm or 2 will hit that 3rd year. I’m pretty sure you get a tick more snow per season then me so you won’t have to many back to back winters that suck. 12,13 and 14 are the 3 worst consecutive winters I remember and there was still a couple of 1-2 inch events over that time but none over 3.
 
Anyone else still not get below freezing yet? My lowest is 34 degrees and I’m pretty sure the first freeze is going to be the latest it’s ever happened since records began. Nashville’s latest 1st freeze is the 27th I think, so I may already have broken that record here in White House.

We just had our first Friday. 6 days from the latest on record

And yeah this winter has to be better I just can't see how it's not. People already think global warming is killing our snow as it is so yeah

And it snowed a foot in 21-22 after February 2021
