A 60 degree low in Raleigh on Christmas eve. Hopefully it is right.
Will you be coming out this way, mid-January?
I don't trust anything that shows a potential for a winter storm now. Warm and rain or cold and dry is all I am expecting this winter.

I believe it was 7 years ago tonight that North Georgia experienced a big snowfall. I measured 8” near Carrollton !

Doubt we see the sun again until the front passes Thursday. The big warmup has flopped. last week models advertised multiple days with a run in the low 70's. We popped some mid 60s yesterday afternoon for about an hour. Today 53 is all we have been able to muster. Gonna be hard to hit 60 Tues or Wed without any sun and rain falling.

Austin is about 42.3 at that elevation. Too bad we can't all live at 10,000 ft.

Traveling for snow, or any snow experienced not at your house just doesn’t hit the same way, imo.
It don’t. It’s fun though. I’m satisfied with that last light event here though. Those rates were very heavy just to short

I mean I flew to Denver yesterday no snow at all... Drive 2 hours to Breckenridge there's probably more snow here than I've ever seen in some areas(like it was deeper than my shoes a couple times today)... And today's event was very light a couple inches max probably if that tells you anything. Last week I wondered if it would even snow
And yet you're right it's not the same but again the only real reason I even came here was to fix last winter...
Like there are a lot of secondary things to skiing not even open yet because it's so early in the winter and yet they have all this snow. It's crazy
