12z GFS keeps me below 70 degrees and when it's in the 60's, it's raining. Keeps me in the mid 50's for most of the warm up. What gives? I am looking forward to some 70's.
Yes, because you keep asking questions about time frames an entire month awayAre we gonna waste January as well?
You’ll be ok. I’d just block me if you don’t like itYes, because you keep asking questions about time frames an entire month away
That could be good or bad depending on whose asscheeks we're talking about.Model pattern after mid month looks more like I thought it would a few days ago.. asscheeks
Just keep those silly questions out of the main threadYou’ll be ok. I’d just block me if you don’t like it
Get ready for the same in Jan and Feb2 pages since this morning...got exited..only to be disappointed. Not much talk of December weather other than trash..blah
I don’t share much about my personal life on here but seeing that I’ve known most of you guys for the last 7-10 years I’d like to share something that’s heavy on my heart. We are currently going through a family struggle and will be losing half of our 6 generation family farm. We just don’t have the money for a buyout. It’s been tough and we don’t know how to keep it barring hitting a 2million dollar lottery some time in the next 6 months. Thanks for listening and I’m open to ideas seeing that most of mine/ours are exhausted.
Yeah, I'm sorry man. That stinks. If you head over to the stock thread, @KyloG Will have some super duper picks for you. Maybe he has some ideas; he's loaded. Seriously though, you guys are in our prayers.I don’t share much about my personal life on here but seeing that I’ve known most of you guys for the last 7-10 years I’d like to share something that’s heavy on my heart. Im sorry, that sucks. This is the trend in America, gradually we are losing our independence. Small farms die or become large farms ( or more common in our region, a cheaply built neighborhood), small businesses die and on and on. America will be unrecognizable 20 years from now as wealth and property is squeezed away from the masses into the hands of a few.I don’t share much about my personal life on here but seeing that I’ve known most of you guys for the last 7-10 years I’d like to share something that’s heavy on my heart. Putting out pre emergent tomorrow lolIf we follow last winter then we will have a 2-3 week period in January to see a snowflake and then it's pre-emergent time.
For us in Raleigh I can't recall the last time we had an event in Feb....

We have to start preparing now for the cool wet spring season.Putting out pre emergent tomorrow lol
Well I can say that she has had a better deer season than I have so far this year. I've only seen two while I was hunting and they were not much bigger than my dog. When spring and summer get here they will be trying to wreck my garden and I'll see plenty of them.Lady just totaled her car hitting a deer and coasted in to my driveway.
Unfortunately, I had to take care of the deer if ya know what I mean. She was suffering really bad.![]()

I would if I were growing winter crops like collards or turnip greens. Everything is plowed under waiting for next growing season. The deer aren't interested in a empty garden.Hunt from your garden

I hope you can work out a solution to this too common dilemma among farmers in this day and time. Many family farms are being shut down because of rising property taxes, equipment costs and rising land values. One of my grandfathers was a tobacco farmer and had a farm on land that had been in our family since before the American Revolution. My uncle took over the farming operations but he had a heart attack and with noone willing to contiune the legacy our family decided to sell that farm to neighboring farmer. It was sad seeing that happen so I understand how you feel. Hang in there and I'll say a prayer for you.I don’t share much about my personal life on here but seeing that I’ve known most of you guys for the last 7-10 years I’d like to share something that’s heavy on my heart. How strange
I mean yeah it's not cold and probably won't snow but just the fact there's even a snow mean when people are acting like the pools should be reopened

I was planning to go golfing on Christmas ! Your forecast said it would be warm now it looks cold! How could you fail me webberBoth the extended GEFS and European Weeklies show RMM MJO entering phase 7 as we enter the new year.
Something is probably going to happen in early to mid January.
Also, I am working on the long-term analysis of ERA-5 OMI MJO (1940 - near present) and NC winter storms and the results are interesting thus far, having gone through all the data through the mid 1980s. Hopefully, I can finish it soon and show some of the results.

The higher the amplitude, the more time it is likely to spend in phase 7. The long lived January phase 7 events (like most recently 2022) tend to give us multiple opportunities for snow/ice
