I wish all you guys the best of luck on snow this year. I know it will never snow in my backyard again and I have accepted the fate. Now I'll just pull for intermittent cold and hope it feels like Christmas. Maybe this acceptance will save me some emotional turmoil down the road and I won't be trapped in hoping for something that will never happen!

Smart move, IceAge....you'll save money...can buy less Preparation H, Xanax, and Tylenol.

Once my youngest kid gets grown I am traveling to see it. Maybe stay a few weeks near Mt Washington, Buffalo, or Stampede Pass. Certainly not waiting around for old man winter to wake up.
 
Boone NC doesn’t have any snow forecasted through Christmas Eve. Damn thought they might could eek out a flake or two by then.

I was there a couple weeks ago, but then the super clipper gave me an inch of cold smoke. Keep hope alive. This year's already been better than the last 2 years.

Boone will get theirs I bet this year, just with NW flow events. But I'm telling you Snowshoe is a can't lose location for some reason. I think they're the closest location that just can't not snow. They're calling for 3-5 inches Wednesday afternoon and night, and it's just a HWO. Yawn for them. lol. Drawback is it's not cheap and I'm poor. Still hoping to find a deal sometime this winter to head up there.

Actually, my grandfather went to UNC, and so did his brother. His brother was a sports writer and editor for the Ashville Citizen Times and took me to many basketball and football games at UNC when I was growing up when he would come down to cover the games. So, I do have a connection there. You just live in Durham.
