Misc Cold Season Complaining

So I didn’t know this was a thing? Maybe I’m naive, but this is some major BS !!! A whole team of meteorologists got laid off from our station because they will now get their forecasts from TWC , who as we all know, sucks! IMG_9044.pngIMG_9046.png

So I made a bet with my Friend from WV who lives in Myrtle Beach ….$50 Myrtle would Eclipse 1” Accumulation (he literally lives off HWY 17 across from Ocean Lakes CampGround in a Neighborhood. Soooo I think that’s already in the bank? Y’all agree?

This will probably happen everywhere eventually and will cost many lives when it does. Greed and money over people's lives again.

Interesting now the owners of The Weather Channel can mess up local news weather like they did The Weather Channel. It's not going to work. People pay attention to local meteorologists because they want to know local things.

Who was the clown in here saying it was irresponsible and wrong for the Louisiana NWS to issue their winter storm watches too early?

Brother, they nailed it!

Me that was me …. I will eat that one lol . But , Historically I’d say it again too bc I’m gonna take that bet on the UNDER 100/100 more times too

The beat goes on in the upstate. GSP still does not have 1 inch of snow in 1 event and will not get it this winter. Charlotte still has a chance, but only a slim one. RDU should do it tonight though.

Seems to be wrapping up in Charlotte. Nothing huge, but 10000x better than the sorry excuse for a ‘storm’ the other week and more proof that being under a WSW is just a curse for me. And proof that the NW trend really is more certain than death and taxes 😀

Bingo!
And that couldn’t ring more true than with farmers and these long timers up here!!!

Not over here in Columbia, but I don’t think I can say once we ever saw even what I would call moderate snow. We’ve basically picked up light snow since early this afternoon. I think I have around 0.3-0.4 as of now. I’ve held off saying anything for awhile to see if something would change. But I haven’t seen decent rates one time with this system. But I tell ya, it’s been nice seeing snow again!

Im done with this system since it totally crotch-kicked me. Is there anything coming up on those long-term models for central AL?

Nothing really sticking out on the GEFS or EPS but I need a break. Maybe we can get lucky to track one in February. This one was probably my biggest disappointment ever but what a fascinating storm. Crazy seeing these totals near the coast. Happy for all on here who scored that haven’t in awhile, but I am bitter 😂

It's done this winter. By the time things get into a favorable pattern again it'll be March or April.

Can we include ATL in the mid-south now? Those dudes can't miss.

NGL, I've been unusually fortunate this year when it comes to snow even within the metro itself. The northwestern half of the metro literally got blanked while I got 1.5 inches. Even in the January 10th event, much of the northern metro only got 1-2 inches while Atlanta and the southern metro got 3-5. Usually the northern metro gets more snow, but this year's been different.

I want snow!!!! I’m happy for my family and friends in the south part of the state. Yes, I finally got measurable snow a week and a half ago but that was the first time since December of 2017. I swear I’m paying for getting a foot that year. It shouldn’t be this hard for snow. I have been dry slotted too many times!!! 😩 Rant over now to go get ready for work in the morning and listen to students all day go why no snow for us.🤪
