i seriously doubt the euro is going to shift much, if at all nw with the precip.

we'll see

Most of you will not remember this, but we had a big bust in the Carolinas in Dec 1988 too. Warnings everywhere and not 1 flake of snow. A little sleet got as far north as Augusta GA and that was it.
Pretty sure I remember that one; was supposed to get like 8 inches and ... nothing.

Good luck to everyone today! Even if this thing busts for my area, it has been refreshing to follow something of the magnitude right to the precipice. For all of us in the Deep South, let’s will this thing into existence and hopefully get more people involved than what is predicted right now!

My ceiling of 0.3qpf around here hasn't been challenged yet, but the Euro gives me a little pause if overperformance occurs

Why can’t yall keep the banter ant MF’n one liners over here! It ain’t gonna snow in RAH,

Some of the coldest weather I’ve experienced in the 5 wi gets up here! Was out and about today, it’s cold like you can’t even imagine, with winds gusting to 20-30mph! It hurts! IMG_9033.png

I think the 12z runs are gonna move this thing another click as well. No reason to stop now! Also, if it's like Jan. 2022... we probably verify even better than the last set of model runs show.

Woke up early again, decided to look at some modeling, and I can’t get comfortable enough to sleep again for a little longer.

Can’t lie, I’m excited. I’m now very interested in seeing what work says, because if they don’t do the right thing, you might have a few ladies make the decision for them by afternoon…

You'll regret it if you don't skip work. This is a once in 20 year type event for Augusta. Not to mention roads will actually be impassible there by 5pm.

I think/hope I’ll be okay. Worst comes worst, I can hitch a ride with someone who is probably about 5 miles away from me who has driven in snow.

But my plan at least in my brain is to keep watching and leave early if things shape up like this morning’s short range suggests. I’ll be very curious to see what’s said this morning since there was already talk about potentially changing clinic hours as I’m hoping they take the decision from me (as as of now, I would now say leaving at 3 or even earlier would be justifiable).

I still say the North Charlotte area does not see much. I think we’ve seen the extent of the NW trend and with it being so dry and QPF limited we may see a dusting. Just a gut feeling from me. Hopefully I’m wrong.
