We need an executive order to change the weather pattern.Maybe the Gulf of America will bring us all good luck, now that it's name has changed !

You are going to learn around here no one cares about your backyard and if you take the L they will dunk on your grave. Also, not all of us in NC have seen "snow" 30 minutes last weekend counts but still 3 years no accumulating snow in my yardI just wanna say to the people in Birmingham & Atlanta And NC no offense but you already had snow why are you hoping for a NW and screwing others out of snow just so you can get some again it makes no sense

I empathize. Can't tell you how many times I've been on that end. But that's just the way things are.I just wanna say to the people in Birmingham & Atlanta And NC no offense but you already had snow why are you hoping for a NW and screwing others out of snow just so you can get some again it makes no sense
I’ve had a glazing of ice, and haven't seen an inch in 3 years, the average is 4” here. It’s bad but shouldn’t be this badI just wanna say to the people in Birmingham & Atlanta And NC no offense but you already had snow why are you hoping for a NW and screwing others out of snow just so you can get some again it makes no sense

That’s not even true for NC.I just wanna say to the people in Birmingham & Atlanta And NC no offense but you already had snow why are you hoping for a NW and screwing others out of snow just so you can get some again it makes no sense

I’ve seen 1” in the last three years and haven’t seen a storm of more than 2.5” in a decade. I am not in a giving mood. As someone who used to live on the Gulf Coast, I’m happy for you all to get this, but don’t act like we’re drowning in snow up here. The last few winters have been a catastrophe and if winter ended right now this one would suck, too.I just wanna say to the people in Birmingham & Atlanta And NC no offense but you already had snow why are you hoping for a NW and screwing others out of snow just so you can get some again it makes no sense

Yeah let the GSP to CLT to RDU crowd have a historic snow and we wouldn't be complaining either. This region has been dunked on from every direction over the past six years - TN/VA/MS/AL/GA and now even coastal areas in SC/NC may get buzzed. We can't even get a warning criteria snow.I’ve had a glazing of ice, and haven't seen an inch in 3 years, the average is 4” here. It’s bad but shouldn’t be this bad
Yea, the soundings look awful. You just have to hope the euro/gfs are better at showing what actually makes it to the ground. I feel like the euro is good to have in our corner with that. But it’s also clear all the hi res models are saying heck no to flakes making it to the ground.I think rah and clt have a outside chance at 1” still but it’s just I pull up soundings and with the initial band, there’s so much low level dry air, then as it starts to pivot east a 700mb dry slot moves in
If ever there was a massive NW trend within 24 hours, I pray that this is the one!!I just wanna say to the people in Birmingham & Atlanta And NC no offense but you already had snow why are you hoping for a NW and screwing others out of snow just so you can get some again it makes no sense

Yeah, that’s sad to see, and I’ve seen it a few times on here. I root for MBY first and foremost and I’m willing to sacrifice snow elsewhere to make that happen, but if I’m not going to get snow, I at least hope others do. This is really cool to follow for the Gulf Coast and as people interested in meteorology, this is something we should all cherish. We could have spots set all time snowfall records with this storm!I will say though I do think the if I'm i don't get snow i hope no one else does posts are a little tone deaf and poor taste
Yeah they brined the roads in the Triad even. We aren’t forecasted to get any accumulation. Wishful thinking. Will say I have talked to several Mets who believe that this was a good idea but just fyi they have brined the roads in Raleigh today

-------- if we hadn't lost the SER flex or had more distance between these waves I'd be jumping out of my 2nd floor window the leave the house later this weekAll of the defenders out there, please explain this. As MJ said: "It's easy to talk when you're winning".

It doesn't help that he's also a liar. He posts 50 times a day so that anything he says that is wrong people will forget.

Where up north you think you want to move?I'm used to the things I get excited for in life going wrong or fading away so this is a "been there, done that situation", meh
Ideally, the frickin' Yukon or somewhere else in the northern tier of Canada, but that's so unrealistic lolWhere up north you think you want to move?
Why unrealistic? but dang will you be cold for 10 months of the year ! Yellowknife, Fort Mcmurray, Iqaluit, Churchill , are all good options ! Very isolated and cold up thereIdeally, the frickin' Yukon or somewhere else in the northern tier of Canada, but that's so unrealistic lol
Personally I’m happy, let’s bring Florida to North Carolina ! Come on Simeon you could be out on a boat on lake Norman in shorts mid January partyingWhen the 2001-2030 climate data comes out the average snowfall amounts for Charlotte, RDU, ect. is gonna drop down a frickin' cliff lol
2004 and 2014 might barely save CLT's snowfall average from dipping below 2 inches
well, we know from the last storm they're likely to wait until the last possible moment. But I suspect they might issue a warning somewhere south of Atlanta. And I expect an advisory for north of that. Will be interesting to see what and when. Will FFC issues Warnings this afternoon ?
Immigration to Canada is difficult lol, but within the U.S, Valdez, Alaska seems like a cool place. It's not as brutally cold as other places in the state yet gets the most snowfall. Though COL is really highWhy unrealistic? but dang will you be cold for 10 months of the year ! Yellowknife, Fort Mcmurray, Iqaluit, Churchill , are all good options ! Very isolated and cold up there
Let’s not minimize this event by putting it on quotations. This is historic storm for some, even if it’s sad for us. We have posters in the areas that could get a historic snowfall.Well, desperation has set in for many people in the Carolinas in the "event" thread. It will be all over soon though. Hello darkness my old friend...........
