You all would never know by my pessimism on this board, but I'm actually pretty optimistic in life with things I can control. But being optimistic about snow in SC is almost always fighting a losing battle. But some of you guys are relentless and never give up! I respect the hell out of that considering what you've been through the last 3 years and how last week turned out. Bring it home fellas, but as of now it looks like you're going to have to perform a miracle along 85.

Couldn't agree more. But in my area, I feel like we've been burned many more times by NW trend, mixing/amping than suppression or barely missing to our east. But I have a terrible memory.
 
The off times of the day, waiting for the ICON, GFS, etc, gets some very interesting posts. I love it.

I guess because they do know how close it really is. A tick here, a tick there, so it's technically a way still. But the problem is what can happen, almost never does. If it did your averages would be a lot higher.

Trust me I’m not far from this thread anymore. But I’ve seen crazier and 2022 was a crazy last minute shift, overrunning in general always has surprises on the NW side

Well December 2017 still comes to mind for me. I’ll never forget how fast that one ramped up. Somewhere hope still remains until the end.

I guess if you are just looking for anything even flurries then there’s still a chance. I’m just not interested anymore myself unless it’s got big dog potential, which for a while it looked like it may. But I’m over the little novelty events around here.

Exactly. Relying on perfectly timed phases at just the right location never works. Especially when 90% of the legit models say it ain’t happening. I rage quit.

Happened here last week... Snow got extended by several hours in the darkest part of the day
