Skosh by skosh, the GFS is turning NW. Wonder if it's reflected in the GEFS later?
The 18z GFS is making this increasingly a real concern.RDU/CLT is going to have to start sweating sleet pellets by tomorrow at this rate of trending.
This will be a Nashville storm at this rate.
NW trend is almost always a bigger concern than suppression. We went from worrying about too much suppression to too much NW trend.
Good thing the euro is still suppressed. The 18z GFS is making this increasingly a real concern.![]()
It's one run.The Sleet line is already on the I-20 corridor and still have 96 hours to go before the start of the event. The NW trends on the GFS need to come to a halt or freezing rain will become a concern for even the Upstate by Sunday and the Midlands by tomorrow.
I’m trying to figure out how much sarcasm is in this post. Old RC is a sly one sometimes…Upstream kicker coming in hot.
When the trough finally decides to pick up that southern wave, she's gonna blow.
Either way, it's still too low on QPF. Man, Ithe GFS.
Be very careful saying stuff like that around here...it's intensely frowned upon. People lose their minds over considering a model that doesn't show snow.We are reaching the “ Model X must have a bias because it’s not showing what I want” stage of the storm tracking
Worms in their brainsHow people denied that a NW trend was coming just because of the strength of the cold is bewildering to me. It’s even more certain than death and taxes.
I always thought Ken was too conservative back in the day. It's funny I ran into him in a Publix maybe 10 years ago and he didn't look like he aged at all.Ken Cook would piss me off so bad in my younger years. He was semi right about the last storm though. But often Ken Cook was so wrong. Brad is great.
Freaking hilarious!!!Maybe the answer was right in front of us the whole time

People move to those locations to avoid snow. People move to the mountains to see it. I know, I need a psychiatrist now. World is upside downThat run might be all-time best case scenario for SE GA, dunno how it gets better than that
Some do, but others here love snow and live here for other reasons lolPeople move to those locations to avoid snow.
