Misc Cold Season Complaining

If that occur, which is very possible, the ice zone expands inland too within 4 counties or so from the ocean due to warm nose.

There will be a storm please follow the government sites like WPC and NWS. A lot of people on here are sour puss because the lions share is not in their backyard. A lot will see something but the moderate to high impact zones are listed on those government sites when making life decision choices.

You don’t need the lions share. The lions share gets rained on. The northern fringe gets high ratio snow. That’s all we want Bird. And it’s coming

It may. I will be doing a more detailed map tomorrow on the ice zones. I really broad brushed it since it’s too early to call.

Bird, have you notified the proper authorities? Yesterday you said National Guard needed to be on high alert.... I told my family in Wilmington to evacuate to safer areas .... thoughts?

Burrel NAM is gonna be so juiced on roids, this is its favorite scenario ...when it can make another model look sane with stupid outputs. Im all for the Canadian vs NAM showdown next few days. But yes theres gonna be a stripe of 2-3' somewhere if NAM goes near negative Tilt

They are already on alert trimming trees in Georgia and South Carolina. I’m always hesitant forecasting ice and tbh once we get closer to event time I will have an area that sees more than half ice of ZR accumulation. It’s gonna be bad. The less snow that areas north-west sees the better coastal areas are for sleet and snow. If Charlotte north gets a moderate snow event it’s lights out for the eastern half of South Carolina and Georgia.

nothing to be scared of if you prepare. all we can do is notify and adjust the maps when more data comes in. Wilmington is gonna be an ice storm I believe but it’s uncertain how much sleet/snow affects the ZR accumulations.
 
Can we stop looking at the ICON ... its useless. Only look at the Major models, the rest are as useful as me and bird after a case of Miller with an ink pen. Ive never seen a MET on TV be like ohhhh and heres the ICON model. EURO/GFS/CAN/GRAF/NAM/HRRR/RGEM nothing more

My friend said Army usually gets involved if there’s a chance of i95 getting shutdown. And with this storm. There’s a high likely hood of damaging crippling ice up and down i95.
