Misc Cold Season Complaining

This place is going to be wild when the short range models start spitting out apocalyptic ice storms in their long range. That MMFS model bouncy posted already alludes to it.
 
Well, I'll be danged.

Still need to see something like that appear on another model for my intents and purposes, but I know based off me looking at thermals elsewhere, we've been close to a mess here.

If this appears on the GFS or Euro today, you can likely ring the alarm on "some" ice at least.
 
We're 90hrs out now... surely we can say we've locked in on a major SE winter storm right? Too close to go time for a major rug pull?

Battle lines can and will shift some, but it seems like it's going to be one heck of a winter storm for us.

90 hr is no where near safe. I’ve seen 200 mile north shifts day of
 
for what it's worth i've been locked in on 2-5 for 5 straight days with this current storm. going to end up with three. no real undulations in modeling, never sweated a thing except power

close very close. Get me to 24 HR. I want to nail the rug to the ground first.

Feels great to have a major storm on deck and we don't even have to worry about boundary layer issues.
