It's hard to get any snow with this look. Would take perfect timing at night. Most of us knew the "historic cold" was not going to happen but this is VERY pedestrian; just a few degrees below normal except a couple of morning lows.

If you get up early enough in the morning on Friday you might see some ice crystals with the early morning fog

I miss the DGEX. Someone somewhere must have a floppy disk or CD of that model somewhere we can boot up on an old windows 98 computer and get some pretty snow maps for this cold rain we are all about to get.

Ya'll the Euro AI absolutely cooked on predicting tomorrow's storm starting at hr144 and each run there after...(we are roughly 144hrs from event start time with this storm).

Edit to add: GFS was by far the worst model in this range. CMC and Euro did ok.

Look guys we have all the key ingredients going for us. Active subtropical jet, cold air in Siberia, and a snowpack in Northern Canada to prevent modification.

Yeah I know this is a super unpopular opinion, but I'd rather see areas to our north get a monster than us to get a piddly little event out of this pattern. This pattern deserves to produce a big dog.

With all due respect, screw the ppl up north. They'll probably cash in a couple times this winter anyway. This might be our last shot of the season for all we know
