Sweating today with dews in the 40s and a ripping wind 
Are you wearing a trash bag or cutting weight for a MMA fight? I mean its warm today but it doesn't really feel hot or sweaty. Maybe it's just a person to person thing

I’d love to read it if you still recall the link . Based on spring phenology maps spring green up was slower than normal south of the mason Dixon line .
When you gotta walk from campus end to campus end in 10-15 minutes with a 15-20 pound back pack .. sweat does start to accumulate .. but yeah if I literally could just step outside and walk at a calm pace I would not sweat but I certainly wouldn't in 60 degrees high temps with low dews

I was working outside bending conduit today at the jobsite near charlotte where it was 80s/40s and I didn’t break a sweat. Perfect walking weather today if you ask me, and can definitely tell by how much more people was outside today vs Saturday or even Sunday
Yeah… I was off work today and did yard work all day at both my house and my mother-in-law’s. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the pollen… definitely a solid dusting on the car tops today… lol

Welp, so much for that. Only managed an intra-hour 89*F.
April's temperature departures to-date (4/10):
RDU literally on fire with +2-4F departures while most of the SE is BN.

Yep for frickin once! I haven't seen a pattern like that in years. Usually its the opposite especially in spring
While still bn the already less enthusiastic gfs is trending away from the big trough ill take 65-70/40-45 10 out of 10 times

I'm loving this April! We're pretty much guaranteed heat and humidity from Mid May through Mid Sept so I (personally) would love to see the cool fronts keep coming as long as possible. Here's two more showing up on the extended; we'll see if they are legit or not (from the 6z)

Ok then. Someone must've found ice dumped out of a cooler or something and reported it.
I just cleaned out my ice maker jam. It was nearly that big. Maybe I should report it to lend credence to that one.

Didn't we have this problem in the fall with regards to the fronts being to positive?
To be honest it was never really going to be anything special for us .. only long range HRRR had something that looked semi interesting but it has since followed suit with the rest of modeling. Ingredients just were not there for us + speed of the system ??

Hard to get severe weather with no CAPE, systems moving through at peak cooling, dynamics well to the north, positively tilted troughs, and dewpoints in the 50s. That's typical for this region now.

Rap actually looked decent tomorrow across NC, with pockets of 2500 SBCAPE and solid mid level lapse rates/DCAPE. Not the best setup but the boundary and increased mid level shear would argue for some solid thunderstorms. Still meh
I’d be happy to even hear thunder tomorrow tbh. Eastern NC (coastal plain really) has the best chance for any sort of sustained thunderstorm activity in this set up.
