Pattern April Thread

Famine index was at 5 year high last year and climbing. Famine = Very bad times for all of us, regardless of if we are the ones starving.

Yet, farmers in America still produce more food that is actually consumed, and they still get government subsidies for crops that aren't sold. The only reason for prices going up is simple greed. Everything else is just an excuse to try to justify it.

I see clueless nickbyB laughing emoji there but go laugh at the poultry farms that just had exterminate their poultry flocks (their livelihood) due to the outbreak. Hot weather certainly has shortened the extent of any bird flu in the past, it does not thrive in that environment.

ts rampant up here! Everyday you hear about whole farms of turkeys and chickens having to be killed, trying to stop the spread. Temps have been 40-55 for weeks , have a few warm days coming up next week to hopefully kill it off. Don’t know much about bird flu, but it’s been very damp here too, for weeks

The drought is being erased up here! The pattern has done a complete 180 from the spring of last year and rain and dampness seems to be here every 3-5 days ! Gonna be a great year for the crops and keep it going to next winter and it’s on like donkey Kong

That sucks and yeah it thrives in cooler damp environments

Nice ! Farming is tough, as spring progresses you want those fields to dry out now though. Or it ends up like a lot of the 20teens where spring wetness hurt and nobody could till the fields . Winter moisture is biggest thing . Need that snow cover up there.

We are getting lots of light rain events, and 3-4 days of cloudiness and drizzle. Snow was about 50% of normal this winter, so we will see how things go. I don’t think they plant corn until first of May or so, I could be wrong. The pattern continues to look wet, but not flooding wet!B5A1781D-2E0A-42A5-886D-55835F625300.png

It's definitely chilly for April here... Gonna be close to a freeze Saturday morning before the warmup begins again(at least on the weekend again)
