Webb,
Close to 80 here Thursday giddy upI'm just glad that we may hit 60 degrees this week. That's a win in my book.
I think it's more about just being near normal. This month has been pretty cold -6.8 5 days at normal or above 5 highs of 60+ and only 1 day of 70+. I'm not sure anyone is looking for summer temps just some warm daysWebb,
Summer's coming ... are you sure you've had enough? LOL
Your Friend,
Phil

Simple. It's hour 222, bound to change drastically. Let's watch it warm up because it's spring. I'm sure you don't want a 4th dessert after 2 was enough nor does anyone else want NC to have more. I'm ready for some warmer weather but not tornadoes and hurricanes. Definitely not after last year.
Never mind ...
I am taking a week off to sit on the lower Big Bend Gulf and do whatever the Gulf tells me ... Enjoy all the whatever and I'll be positively quiet for the duration ...LOL...yeah unfortunately if everyone gets their wish...it could mean that you're the casualty of it because you flirt with the 90 degree mark.
I think I'm sick of it though too, sorry. When your coldest days are gray, damp, or windy (like last week), and in my case, dealing with sudden changes, you tire of it. I'm ready for consistent high 60s-mid 70s temps.

I believe it was April 15th 2001, it snowed one morning, temps in the 30s... some good moderate bursts for an hour or two, then temps warmed up into the 50s later in the day... didn't stick, but it was an unusual weather event for sure. Then there is always April 1987... CHA got around 3 inches. it actually snowed more further south of Chattanooga, into NE Alabama and North Ga.I'm really hoping for a chance to score some snow this April. It's not impossible! Looks like some potential for TN anyway.

different animal there.. Crossville is up on the Cumberland Plateau, around 1800 ft above sea level. Beautiful area too.. Chattanooga got 3 days of killing freezes though.. then that summer was hot and dry... especially that August.. think it wound up the warmest Aug in CHA since 1870. I played hardcore tennis that whole month with a couple guys, heat never bothered me.. damn, time will do its thing in 10 years.I know it snowed in April in TN in 2007. Several inches near Cookeville and Crossville.
no freezes in March? wow... you're definitely getting a killing frost in North Texas.. way overdue.
