95%. JB is right.
It appears that’s where it’s headed. It does look to be a weak La Niña which certainly makes the 1995 comparison seem legit

Yes it originates from a tropical system, but it’s completely extra tropical in the image above that’s 48 hours later. You can see that it’s become fully infused into a cold front and the low itself has a cold core as sun freezing 850mb temperatures are wrapping into it. It would be a heck of storm that coastal residents would not want to see take a track about 250 miles further west.It comes from this. I would call it a hybrid howler

We dont need broiling SST's for an active hurricane season. 1985 had 6 cane landfalls in the US and this was sept.

Was there a landfall in U.S. this season? I don't remember anything significant. Seemed to be rather tame and quiet.
