Your right, we could use a break from them. After Zeta hit my place couple years back I told my wife I never want to go through that again.

It should pick up with climo the next few weeks but who knows. We might get lucky but it's impossible to know what September and October hold(as we've been over before). The 300 hour models I already knew would be different next run that's not news

At this point the gfs is so inconsistent that there's no reason to believe it no matter what it sbows

The consistency is there for the gulf system and the Atlantic storms, but runs vary with strength and direction.

Yes... It's being remembered by the NWS down there apparently. This is around the time it nearly died in the Atlantic

Just going back to Andrew for a minute.... It does go to show you how fast things can flip out there though. 4 days later it would be one of the strongest hurricanes ever to hit the US(one of only three cat 5's)
High in perfect position for 35 and rain for triangle area!
