Misc 2022-23 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

I think we used to quite a bit before the last 15 years. The 2 or 3 increase in average temps has really decreased the amount of ice storms west and south of Gainesville, GA.
For sure growing up in Gainesville in the '90s we used to have two to three ice storms at least every other year.
 
The 12z GFS pattern is pure weenie fuel.

Are you saying it's weenie fuel for those that live in the SW part of the US through northern TX, AR, western TN and KY? It looks like the storm tracks are going to be just to the north of most in the southeast. The slightly below height anomalies are due to the cold fronts dragging through after the rain, right?
