I asked a bot to have a weather convo as well:

Tarheel1: Y’all will need a new pair of pants after looking at the 00z GFS

Birdman: Wooly worms are still dormant. I wouldn’t get too excited. This event will be for areas mainly north of 40

POWERSTROKE: ROADS ARE BAD DO NOT DRIVE ON THEM

SD: Who needs a timeout?

He isn’t wrong. Takes a lot of breaks to make it here in the SE. Midwest is a safe bet for now.
RC is right. I mean the cold press isn't impressive, the trough is transient and the next round of energy is following too far from the main cold air advection.

Even worse here. It will just be a cool rain at my house. Need over running or weak Miller A. Nothing else works.
It’s surprising that N GA doesn’t do better with Miller Bs considering that the SC Upstate and NC southern mountains, foothills and southern Piedmont around the Charlotte metro

I think we used to quite a bit before the last 15 years. The 2 or 3 increase in average temps has really decreased the amount of ice storms west and south of Gainesville, GA.

Same for Nw Sc..we used to always get a Cad ice or sleet event every winter. Typically in January, the sole reason I installed a Generac. But the last decade+ its been pretty meh
