Happy anniversary of this interesting snow eventView attachment 78698@Webberweather53 if you're taking requests I'd love the see the SC map of this. Totals varied greatly around the Columbia metro area. MBY in Irmo had 0.3" while I heard of reports in Blythewood of 1"+!
Eh I got bored and half-assed this snow map. Maybe in the future I'll try this out if I can get the data as it comes in, rather than scavenging from the past.

Here's how it compares to NWS WilmingtonStormAccums6.png

not my video but someone else’s , but that is where I live actually and I was 9 at the time and got to sit on the front porch and watch this pass over my house before touching down in a field across from me! Remember being directly under the funnel just before it touched down as I stood below it in the road ! Looked like a scene out of a disaster movie as I slowly watched it twist !

For a town it’s size zebulon has been hit by quite a few tornados ! Here’s one from the 90s that destroyed part of my middle school. There’s a plaque at the school commemorating this . My god though read the account of one lady! She got in her bathtub to hide and when it was over she found herself in a briar patch ! Wow! Another guy had his trailer picked up and slammed into 3 of his cars !

I wish I had my pictures from this but my phone fell in water thanks to my -------- friend . Anyways, here’s video of the destruction from the may tornado ! This one was literally so close to me, it was a high end ef2 and destroyed homes just up the street from me ! It was no more than a couple football fields away ! It was rain wrapped as well my mom jolted me awake that morning and I open the window to see the rain spinning all sideways ! I got very lucky with this one!
