I believe mayflies have just about reached number one for the nastiest and annoying insect.

Let me tell you about the mayfly. No ladies and gentlemen they don’t bite or sting, but they have a special ability, they land somewhere and then they die. Yes they die by the thousands on whatever they land on. Your porch, your car and in every spiderweb.

But that’s not all oh no. When they die they release their egg sack which cements itself and the bug to your car which you have to scrap off.

And last and not least, what is that rotting fish gut smell when you turn on your car or take a stroll in the yard? Yes you guessed it, it’s the pile of mayflies that have died in every nook and cranny and in your cars fresh air intake to the tune of three to four inches deep.

The best part is when the smell goes away, it happens all over again.

Yes the amazing mayfly ladies and gentlemen.

I was going to give it a like, but I decided to wait a couple of days till the models put the trough back in the east and just post that then!
That's probably what happens. Really doesn't favor that much more than typical heat here 88-92. Good setup for Lakes, northeast, mid Atlantic heat though

Mid Atlantic heat ain’t too bad for Raleigh and northeastern nc . We are close enough. Maybe not Atlanta , oh well give it a week . I’m quoting these posts in a week if it’s hot ! I win ! 90 degrees here we come . Also why Lol? I mean it’s no secret I like the heat . Seriously though ,I’m not suggesting a heatwave or nothing just normal heat instead of coolness relative to normal.

I was actually laughing about the sad faces and thumbs down from your cousin.

Dookie Dan is not my cousin , he is the product of an unholy marriage between a donkey, a shape shifting chameleon, and Steve Carells character in the 40 year old virgin . Goofy, constantly changing everything , and super awkward .

He probably really is a Duke fan

I opened the door this morning and couldn't believe how good it felt. Amazing the difference lower dewpoints can make. I can breathe again, at least temporarily.

Made it to 54 this AM, with a 10-15mph breeze, nipply out!

Just got my can opener out... Lol

The headline sounds great but read the article. Over 6500 of the over 163 million fully vaccinated, contracted the virus and over 1200 died. We were told in the past that we couldn't use percentages as a means of justification for arguing against locking down and masking up, that 1 death was too many BUT now we can use percentages to encourage vaccinating.

Also I'll point out that is nearly 20% of those that did contract the virus after fully vaccinated that perished. Most were over 65 also

Just pointing out some numbers, read the articles and how things seem to change depending on the perspective.

Just got out of my follow up with my GI surgeon and he said they have seen an uptick in COVID hospitalizations at Rex but the media is blowing it out of proportion . Lmao . “ trust the science “ I think the non CDC , non government funded people of science are fed up with the media lies .

It's honestly kind of a dumb stat since it assumes that all vaccinated Americans were exposed which is likely not the case. It's just as bad as using the entire population of the US to arrive at the survival rate. Numbers dont lie, the people using them.

I do find the 20% rate of death a little concerning but then again is that biased high due to asymptotic cases?
