17-18 nina was colder than 16-17 nina and we had the coldest week ever at RDU and 2 weeks of snow threats. Good to see the 2nd year nina myths are still out there thoughENSO literally gives you zero predictability for snow in the SE US except in very climo favored areas near the Apps. SE ridge can dominate all winter but the one time it breaks down is all it takes. We had the opposite last winter and tons of -NAO we sucked in the snow department.
1926-27 is a classic example of what can happen even if it’s warm and the se us ridge dominates. Coming off of what was our warmest February on record to an insane snowstorm then back to warmth again. I think most of us if we had a choice would prefer a pleasant winter with a few big storms rather than miserably cold one and getting shutout17-18 nina was colder than 16-17 nina and we had the coldest week ever at RDU and 2 weeks of snow threats. Does this prove the @Brick Tamland theory its always warm before it snows1926-27 is a classic example of what can happen even if it’s warm and the se us ridge dominates. I heard him and bird are starting a NWS WilkesboroReason why webb is active again is because he’s transferring to NWS GSP, RIGHT ?!?!!?!!! @Webberweather53
All I ask is that the ground not be covered with puddles before it snows for 18 minutes. Haven't seen that for years.1926-27 is a classic example of what can happen even if it’s warm and the se us ridge dominates. That’s a brick breaker, a Shane shackler In Jan or febI just shuddered from PTSD of people saying “ so close”
Yep. Atlanta had that Super bowl Ice storm in Jan of 2000.1999-2000 was a second year Niña too FWIW...second year Niña doesn't always mean "snowless winter"
Coldest week ever ? How’s that possible , thought we don’t get cold around here no more especially not coldest week ever in a 130 plus year record ….. different thread yea yea.17-18 nina was colder than 16-17 nina and we had the coldest week ever at RDU and 2 weeks of snow threats. 88 lost it for us .. piss poorGo Braves (also lol nc state ----)
Wasn’t just him88 lost it for us .. piss poor
Eh it debatably is he had probably 3-4 missed catches that were in his hands with no one near him where he could’ve easily picked up first downs and helped momentum for state to score .. people have off days and he is a star for us but a star should make those catches no matter the situationWasn’t just him
He dropped 2 crucial passes but we also had the offsides on the FG to start the half and the helmet punt recovery fiasco thingEh it debatably is he had probably 3-4 missed catches that were in his hands with no one near him where he could’ve easily picked up first downs and helped momentum for state to score .. people have off days and he is a star for us but a star should make those catches no matter the situation
Off sides was not good for sure .. Helmet thing was stupid cause that shouldn’t be a rule but I wouldn’t say that was an inhibiting play they were suppose to have the ball anyway at the end of the day if his helmet didn’t come off then we would have had it .. two crucial passes at 2 crucial moments were big thoughHe dropped 2 crucial passes but we also had the offsides on the FG to start the half and the helmet punt recovery fiasco thing
Those dropped passes were the difference in the game, IMO. Obviously, there were other things that could have made up for it...one of those being I don't know, having defenders within 10 yards of Miami's receivers. I honestly don't remember an incompletion the whole second half.Off sides was not good for sure ..
