If I had a yard in Phoenix and I had enough money to support the water bill I would definitely water my lawn as much as possible If it's what I wanted.Bingo ! I agree you should only plant what can A survive in your area and B if not native won’t become super invasive and harm . Though technically by that criteria north Durham can support some palms ! modernweenie. As for grass in Phoenix and Vegas . Disgusting waste of precious resources .
Could you tell @Broken024 he seems to have missed that memo. I’ll be right back from digging out of my 36” snowstormSometimes your just meant to win. Charlotte this year is just meant to win View attachment 110672View attachment 110673View attachment 110674

Yes and drain the coloardo river hurting farmers and mexicans downstream. not too mention straining drinking water resources. Sorry man but those cities are massive and the use of water is inefficient and leading to unsustainable failure. You should read up on it, I mean at one point this past year the water levels at the Hoover dam were getting dangerously close to the point where it would not be able to produce any hydroelectric power which would be catastrophic for millions. All so some people could grow grass in the desert? lol.If I had a yard in Phoenix and I had enough money to support the water bill I would definitely water my lawn as much as possible If it's what I wanted.
If you can pay for it you can do whatever you want on your own property.Yes and drain the coloardo river hurting farmers and mexicans downstream. not too mention straining drinking water resources. Ok, then no federal funding to bail your butt out when you have no power and no water. Sorry. If you can pay for it you can do whatever you want.

Here is me digging my car out last weekendCould you tell @Broken024 he seems to have missed that memo. I’ll be right back from digging out of my 36” snowstorm
Maybe don't depend on green energy and if you do have a back up planOk, then no federal funding to bail your butt out when you have no power and no water. Sorry.
Lick might be the Tree hugger type. Idk yetIf you can pay for it you can do whatever you want on your own property.
Ill see what? Check this out. 90% of our winter veggies are grown out there. The US declared a water shortage for the first time ever there meaning FORCED reductions which are going to impact FARMERS first. Not the phoenix green lawn folks. We are a society and proper use of our resources is important to ensure continued access to them. No one has a green lawn when the water runs out. You'll see.
Or if you really like green lawns live out east where the rain fall is ample.Maybe don't depend on green energy and if you do have a back up plan
The fake grass industry is big there. Also fun to water the fake grass so you don’t burn your toes.Ill see what? Check this out. 90% of our winter veggies are grown out there. Can the Colorado River keep on running?
The Colorado River is being sucked dry by cities and farms and is also suffering the effects of climate change. What will it take to save the “lifeline of the West”?www.nationalgeographic.com
Not to get into politics, but when tadpoles are being protected in spite of California farmers needing the water in the Central valley, That's all I need to know. It's all politics, there's enough water out there.Ill see what? Check this out. 90% of our winter veggies are grown out there. I dont mean to regulate water access but when your in the middle of a massive drought, your power plant is about to fail, and a large source of our nations food is about be slammed yeah something kind of has to be done to avoid disaster. The fake grass industry is big there. Also fun to water the fake grass so you don’t burn your toes.
It doesn't take a lot of water to keep a green somewhat healthy lawn. I would wager that most of the home owners or whoever is watering in that region is overwatering. It's a huge issue in this countryOr if you really like green lawns live out east where the rain fall is ample.
Yea like move. Pretty simple.I dont mean to regulate water access but when your in the middle of a massive drought, your power plant is about to fail, and a large source of our nations food is about be slammed yeah something kind of has to be done to avoid disaster.
I honestly have never watered my yard, good soil is all you need.It doesn't take a lot of water to keep a green somewhat healthy lawn. I would wager that most of the home owners or whoever is watering in that region is overwatering. It's a huge issue in this country
Yep. Arizona is like the third fastest growing state in America . Oh boy . Dude I’m sorry man “ move “? So shut down the cities of Phoenix Las Vegas and Los Angeles ? And move em all. Hmmm. Move the farmers and the farms hmmm. Yeah it checks out .Yea like move. Pretty simple.
You probably have enough clay/loam in your soil profile that you can keep more water in the root zone. Here I have so much sand I have to water after about 7 dry daysI honestly have never watered my yard, good soil is all you need.

Thick layer of topsoil from decades of farming. Front yard was a cow and hay field for years. You probably have enough clay/loam in your soil profile that you can keep more water in the root zone. Here I have so much sand I have to water after about 7 dry days
