I told my wife after watching WRAL put out a snow map that showed 3 to 5 inches earlier this evening for Wake County and after looking at the models shift everything out to sea this afternoon that if it snowed 5 inches at my house I would pose for a picture in my boxer shorts in the snow. Now I see WRAL's snowfall as of their 10:00 newscast shows practically nothing for Wake County. Baring any last minute changes it looks like I am safe from catching double pneumonia for now. I do there is a chance that comes back to bite, I remember Greg Fishel having to stand in the WRAL fountain after telling listeners if it snowed an inch on one broadcast he would do that and he knows more about the weather than me.

Well it’s easily looking like another dud of a winter here in Birmingham. Just haven’t been able to get anything credible since 12/8/17.
We had been on a nice roll, but this definitely feels like a little drought we got going. I about lost my ? for a 1/4 inch last winter.

The GFS showed a slight jog west with more snowfall for interior areas, maybe a fifty mile jog or so. Is this the beginning of a last minute comeback? The ICON and EURO have been the steadiest models with this system and I'm hoping they verify and everyone gets in on the action as far as snow.

In all seriousness I personally believe you will see at minimum some westward expansion of the precip shield. I'll gladly admit to being wrong if that doesn't happen.
I can't believe I'm saying this but...this might be the one time Roxboro doesn't bullseye..
