Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

FINALLY back on my computer. Blah, that was so annoying.

Hopefully it shuts down in at least a somewhat proper way when I go to bed now.

Btw, an event that's likely to still be icy for many is not a non-event. Thankful I'm not getting in on it, but others on here will.

Define non-event. 2 inches of wintry whatever isn’t a non-event for Atlanta. Might not be eye candy to look at but at the end of the day most of the people on here will see some kind of winter precip this weekend. That’s all I can ask for especially when I was sitting on my front porch drinking coffee on Christmas morning wearing shorts and a t-shirt staring at my thermometer that read 70 degrees.

2 inches for the northern suburbs would not be a non event but certainly not major. In the end it will be a forgettable storm for most of us.

I'm wishcasting as much as anyone, but unless every model says over 4", my money is on nothing. These same models had us getting these same amounts on the back side of the storm a couple of weeks ago and we didn't get more then a garbage dusting. May we all be pleasently surprised, but don't count on it.

It's just hard to believe that we are in the heart of winter and still can't get anything to come together for a decent winter storm. We are wasting opportunities left and right.

With the wrap around, looks aren't quite as important.
