Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Man, my computer hasn’t worked right all day today. Smh

Had to hard power it down after idling it since I don’t like shutting down the computer if I’m going to come back to it, and it’s been close to three hours without it booting up fully since it is « fixing the disk drive ».

Less weather modeling stress but a lot of tech stress!

I'm actually glad to see ya'll posting TWC stuff. I never think to check their site, and my streaming provider doesn't have them.

I like TWC for landfalling hurricanes sometimes for the live on site coverage. That's the only time I miss them on TV. Course I can just find a live stream of it if I really wanted to.

Never gotten used to the winter storm names though. (Izzy??)
I like TWC for the hot weather ladies

Yay! MrGolf is back with his great insight! Somebody gouge my fooking eyes out

@BufordWX seeing a lot of 4-6in totals on the short range models for our area. Do you still think 1-3in is accurate?
I probably would not go that high yet but I like seeing the NBM going up for us. Maybe I would say 2-4 inches right now, but we gotta see what happens. I also wonder if we get more sleet mixing in which could damper things a bit, but we will see.

It's going to be primarily a cold rain for 80% of the Atlanta area. Hopefully the backside will give more people hope.
The backside will be mostly dry. Half an inch at best. If you're not in the CAD area that's subfreezing by storm hour tomorrow this won't be your storm. Hate to rain on the parade but unless by some miracle the low tracks through deep south GA then into SC we won't see that back end deformation band in GA before it falls apart. Just can't see it happening.

Then basically it's going to be a non event for most of the Atlanta area unless you're in the extreme northern suburbs like Forsyth, Cherokee, Northern Gwinnett

I like clown maps when they look good over my house.
