I'm a weenie. I said a month ago that I didn't care if it snowed but that I wanted it to... "But I wasn't going to worry about it" I think it was just a coping mechanism for being 3 years without snow. Apparently I care more than I wanted to care... I'm on this site probably 50 times a day.

On Tuesday I said I'd take a couple days off watching the models to try to rest and recuperate before the real thing, and instead in the meantime I've probably posted 100+ times. I need a shrink.
I haven't seen wintry precip below freezing in years, so I am excited about that prospect for sure. ?
To reup or not reup my WeatherBell subscription, that is the question...such pretty maps but will I have any snow on them?

It's funny because while I will likely see snow I'm not even in the major part of this storm and yet it's been hard to look away ? I mean I do have family in Central Alabama but they will be lucky to probably see what I see I have nobody up in the possibly historic part of this storm and yet for some reason I can't stop looking at it
When I was living in Florida I still tuned in for the big storms, as well. It was painful watching the big dogs come and go and me sitting there in the FL panhandle catching raindrops, though. And now we can't get any big storms anymore.
Well, this one should be a big winter storm, just doesn't look like it's going to be a big SNOW storm IMBY.

If I had to make a call for ATL right now I would say half inch of snow and a light glaze of ZR.
My IMBY forecast is 1-3" snow/sleet, 0.25" ZR. Probably more on the low end on the snow/sleet, but if it sleets long enough, we could pile up close to 3" of snow/sleet total, IMO. On the other hand, it wouldn't shock me if we see literally zero snow at all, but even so I think we could have 1" of sleet in us with this one.
It's all kind of disappointing, really, as I would much prefer to see a significant SNOWstorm, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess.......If I don't squeeze out 1" of snow and/or sleet accumulation, I'm going to be pretty cranky, though.

While a lot of us may not see the snow we want from this storm, the upcoming pattern looks absolutely Money IMO. Since I really started tracking weather I haven’t seen a pattern this loaded. Gonna be fun!

If it's not going to snow, I'd rather deal with 50 and rain rather than 33 and rain or freezing rain.
Burlington looks to be where the freezing line sets up in central NC. That’s about 30 miles from my house…that 30 miles is going to be the difference in having power and not having power.
