Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

What model on the 0z runs are gonna pull the rug out from under us first? NAM?
 
Didn't mean to post in the storm thread about 2002 but wanted to add, I don't want to sound like a bird but people better plan on no power and being cold. Not many have wood heat or generators that can run heat.

Maybe I’m getting bitter in my old age. I used to be very optimistic, but my experiences with these slop storms lead me to believe that almost all of these call maps are too high. Looks to be a sleet/frz rn event for everyone se of I-77. I’d go 1-2 inches of snow/sleet and .25-.4” of ice accrual. NWS in Raleigh looks about right. Seems to me that lots of others are going to be lowering totals as we get closer.
 
Looks like the wild swings are over. Maybe the famous NW trend will always win out; Idk. What I do know is that expecting any magical Miller-A is seeming unlikely now. ?

I'll be completely satisfied if I get 2 inches of snow/sleet with some freezing rain on top. Best storm on 4 years.
