There's going to be at least a small window here in the next 2 weeks where the eastern Carolinas are favored and we see a Miller A form off the coast or in the NE gulf before retrogression starts

I have come to look at these winter storm threats like a sports game. You don't really know what the outcome will be until it's over. Sometimes there are upsets and surprises. Sometimes your team wins and sometimes your team loses. All the model runs are like the pregame talk and analysis. But as long as there is a game you just have to watch and see what happens. Right now it looks like I have a shot at being in the game, so I am just going to watch and see what happens.

Just seeing some daylight flakes at this point would be a win given the trends today. So typical.

Because they're huge wieners?
I'd be thrilled to end as 1-2 hours of flakes. Even the big hit runs the last 36 hours had their challenges WRT to the temp profiles.

Everyone a day ago: way too warm for any accumulations don’t read into big accumulation maps just expect flakes.. everyone excited
Today: more amped now all we get is a chance at flakes this sucks! I’m unhappy!

Hey I was just saying there's a lot of weinering going on. We went from a flat wave that had issues advecting cold and crashing the column to a stronger wave and more waa initially but a much better chance to crash the column on the backend. Really a net 0 change for a good part of central NC minus your area which is really taking the L here
