We'd probably have to shut down lolCould you imagine the reaction from the north GA folks if we were to get a repeat of this event this winter?View attachment 46123

Anger. Very much anger. We would beg for a 100 mile north shift or watch it drift south.Could you imagine the reaction from the north GA folks if we were to get a repeat of this event this winter?View attachment 46123

96-04What string of years would anyone here consider their favorite for weather? My favorite stretch of interesting weather around here is 2008-2011. So many things happened during those years.

?You mean June 2020 thru July 2020 ?
2008-2011 did have a lot of my most fondest weather moments happen especially with winter storms. What string of years would anyone here consider their favorite for weather? My favorite stretch of interesting weather around here is 2008-2011. So many things happened during those years.
Severe weather was pretty good those years too. March 2008, February 2009, April 2009, and Spring 2011 had some pretty good severe events around here. Also had an EF2 tornado pass within 3-4 miles of my house during November 2010.2008-2011 did have a lot of my most fondest weather moments happen especially with winter storms.
Man she was big and beautiful.

I’d go 1987-1990. Saw the Jan 88 powder bomb and Hugo passed about 10-20 miles to my EastWhat string of years would anyone here consider their favorite for weather? My favorite stretch of interesting weather around here is 2008-2011. So many things happened during those years.
I was 20, and in college. Best and worst storms of my life happened in college (Troy State University). Blizzard of '93 Thunder Snow (Best), Hurricane Opal '95 (Worst). I lived in a trailer on this guys 300 acre farm 4 miles out of town...I went without power for 9 days. Cold showers, cooking on a grill for everything, and studying by candlelight.I was 8 and you’re too damn young!
I was too young to remember it as it happened, but Katrina was a interesting storm to watch based off the research into its life and impacts I have done. It’s large size was also very impressive. For a storm that made landfall in Louisiana and Mississippi, northeast Georgia still had some sizable impacts. Those outer bands produced a good bit of tornadoes around here too.
Thank You for your service. ?I know I'm a bit late, but at the time of Katrina I was in the Florida National Guard. My unit was preparing to deploy to Iraq, and we were in training in New Jersey. With the news of the looting, and fighting on the streets, plus all the search and rescue, they activated a few Florida (and other surrounding state) guard units. We were kinda crossing our fingers they'd take us and cancel our deployment overseas. Needless to say it didn't happen, but that's the memory of Katrina.
I absolutely despise bees. I ran like a little girl trying to shoot raid at a wasp nest earlier this week in my garage.Drove my ATV through a Yellowjacket nest about 45 minutes ago. Before I knew what I had done they were already swarming on top of me. They stung me about 8-10 times then followed me about 150 yards back across the creek. All over me. Even got down into my boots. I’m not allergic but could feel my throat swelling about 10 minutes after. Really just an all around sh*t experience. If I die later tonight I just want to go on record and say that it wasn’t Covid.
Dude, were you driving super slow? Or was the nest in a tree or something? I hope you're ok. I have mowed over them many times on my riding mower. You can usually get one free pass, but if you fail to realize that you went over them one time already, oh baby. They will light your booty up!Drove my ATV through a Yellowjacket nest about 45 minutes ago. Before I knew what I had done they were already swarming on top of me.
