I figured out how to post pics! Mostly sideways, but baby steps! Apple orchard pics are from Wisconsin last week, sunset is over the Mississippi River from Illinois side. Interesting discussion about October snow. I'm surprised ATL had flurries in October 1993 when RDU has NEVER had measurable snow in October on record and has not had even a trace in October since 1910.
It’s easier for the cold air to make it over the mountains to us so it probably has something to do with that. Both times I’ve seen it it timed up with the cold rushing in late in the day too. That early you need all the help you can get.
