Dewpoint Dan reminds me of the Andy Griffith Episode "Stranger in Town". Check it out, I bet y'all would agree... Lol

I think Dewpoint Dan could be a poet in real life based on the name’s very nice alliteration. Also, DD reminds me of a wx pattern that keeps it mild in winter. I don’t know why, but it is true.
 
Can we have one of these in the Southeast please?

Cape Hatteras had a landfalling tropical storm once in December . Think it was 1927? Sometime back then. Considering the Gulf Stream is very warm year round it’s plausible sorta , I mean I remember people posting sst maps in January with 25c water temps just offshore Hatteras . I think it can happen , would have to be fast moving and would very likely be a storm in transition at this latitude in winter , a sandy type storm.
