“Driving through” sucks. All these years I’ve done the 10:45 drive no problem. I would arrive drained. I was gonna leave WS Friday morning and drive through but decided, on a whim, to head out. My mpg is only 22.5.
Safe travels! I actually dread the next time I have to drive back! It’s an uneventful drive, besides driving 1-40 through the mountains either way!

I have gotten several of them and they don’t even get my name right. I just delete them immediately and block the number.

I send them messages back and they block me due to the language I use. Normally it’s something along the lines of their parents being related and having carnal knowledge of each other along with various farm animals.

SD, you may have to help my memory here. We were just talking about the Jan 2000 bust and the Nov 2000 bust. I recall, I think it was 85 or 86, Bob Debarbaladen got on WRAL the morning of the event, after a few days of saying major winter storm, telling viewers, we are getting rain today. Every network ahead of this were calling for a major winter storm for the Triangle. We indeed got rain.

WRAL also busted on one either Nov/Dec of 83 or Jan of 84. I lived in Cary at the time and after no heads up at all from local mets, we wound up with 6-8 inches of snow. No met at the time saw it coming. I think Channel 11 in Durham said we could see some flurries, but it became a big snow storm for Wake.

@SD is old but not that old, for this question you will have to consult with someone far more ancient , someone from a time long before ours .... @metwannabe

I remember when I was in high school one of our Atlanta mets on NBC got on and said "if you see a flurry, take a picture because you will be lucky." We woke up to several inches on the streets and a traffic nightmare.
