Yup, I wasn’t born then but I know that is about the peak snowstorm you get around here. Hard to beat it.

She was fun too. Still have old videos my dad took of me and my brothers walking in the snow and it was up to my belly button.

Could you imagine the reaction from the north GA folks if we were to get a repeat of this event this winter?

Anger. Very much anger. We would beg for a 100 mile north shift or watch it drift south.

I think that was the last time it snowed in central South Carolina. @Robert West
What string of years would anyone here consider their favorite for weather? My favorite stretch of interesting weather around here is 2008-2011. So many things happened during those years.
96-04
2008-2011 did have a lot of my most fondest weather moments happen especially with winter storms.
Severe weather was pretty good those years too. March 2008, February 2009, April 2009, and Spring 2011 had some pretty good severe events around here. Also had an EF2 tornado pass within 3-4 miles of my house during November 2010.
