Than Nam map from yesterday is looking better and better!
Back in the 80s, tonight’s setup would’ve yielded 8-12” across central NC EASY, with rain changing to 2-4” of snow as far south as Orangeburg, SC. Things just don’t work like they used to.

We used to have high pressure systems that helped us...not ones way up north of Minnesota.

Hopefully the deep south can score in the next 2 weeks, because after that the sun angle becomes a serious issue.

Try being us in the other states completely shut out and getting 40 to 50 degree rain.
Haha! That's funny, but often or several times it did seemed to work out in that manner.
I melt snow up here at 15 degree temps and full sun
