Ask Dewwy Dan.You have to live further south in Alabama and Texas to get snow now. How do they get more snow than here now?

I want warmth too. Cold shots in March = more cold rainstorms.March snow/slush is the worst. Ready for a pumped up SE ridge and move on to spring. I know the -NAO will mute it and we'll CAD all month, but I'm hoping not.
It's been like that with 90% of the storm threats in RDU in any year. This pattern sucks. How the hell do we keep getting this warm nose that gives us either rain or ice instead of snow? It's been like that with the winter storm threats here since last week.
Didnt seem like that big of an issue in the 70s and 80s, although it may have been. Of course back then, we had to walk to school with shovels and bookbag full of emergency supplies. It's been like that with 90% of the storm threats in RDU in any year.

Exactly , snow in winter is already hard enough let alone in freaking March when temps are much warmer on average . It’s just setting yourself up for a cold rainI want warmth too. Cold shots in March = more cold rainstorms.
And tears falling contribute to evaporational cooling, may give you a better chance at onset.Exactly , snow in winter is already hard enough let alone in freaking March when temps are much warmer on average . It’s just setting yourself up for a cold rain
60 here rn , would be more glorious if the wind would die down some .

Oh yeah , the weenies are in for a suprise . The warm air is gonna crash down with the rain . We are getting a surprise 70 degree severe weather day.Looks rough for NW of 40/85 but don’t see anything but cold rain for Wake Co.
You sound more like the weenie hereOh yeah , the weenies are in for a suprise . The warm air is gonna crash down with the rain . We are getting a surprise 70 degree severe weather day.
Nah dude I’m just being real. Unlike the weenies who are dying to admit they secretly wish/ hope it busts much colder and is a surprise catastrophic ice storm/ snow storm . They hint at it all the time “ it’s gonna come in colder “ “ the warm bias “ “ yikes this doesn’t look good ( deep down jumping with excitement )”. I’m real with it ! I admit what I wish / hope !You sound more like the weenie here
Oh I know, but the warmth isn’t coming back with this system, it’s dead Jim, go to the Florida panhandle if you want a sniff over 65Nah dude I’m just being real. Feathers cant fly when theyre frozen together.I wonder how the ice storms are going in Wilkes
If this was the 80s, we’d be polishing off our shovels for 6-12” of concrete right now. It could snow under 558 1000-500 mb thicknesses and everything. Things just don’t work like they used to.Didnt seem like that big of an issue in the 70s and 80s, although it may have been. No doubt. All this cold rain wouldve been historical snowfall in 1985.If this was the 80s, we’d be polishing off our shovels for 6-12” of concrete right now. It could snow under 558 1000-500 mb thicknesses and everything. Things just don’t work like they used to.

Quick question, when you all say that the ice looks bad, do you mean it?

33 and rain is major nut kicker! at least i will be in mid to high 30's ?Can't wait for another MF 33 and rain tomorrow night in Fayetteville. LOVELY ----ING WINTOR
Ice just really amplifies the look of what its on. Ugly trees, moreso with ice. Pretty hydrangea, prettier with ice. So its subjective.Quick question, when you all say that the ice looks bad, do you mean it?
Man that’s ------- beautiful, looks just like the GEFS View attachment 75659View attachment 75660
