There is an actual legitimate scientific explanation for why me and everyone else who lives here is like this . Eastern wake county is home to the largest batholith formation on the east coast. That’s hundreds of millions year old granite exposed on the surface that runs miles deep! It has been decaying and uranium has seeped everywhere which is why they advise no one to drink out the wells anymore . So yeah I live in a naturally more radioactive area .

I used to volunteer at the hospital when I was in high school. One of the older ladies I worked with liked my idea of me becoming a male stripper for old rich ladies . I used to joke and tell her that, she said she would pay lol. Unfortunately when I asked my mom if that was cool it didn’t end well so yeah I went to college instead . Still fantasize about being a magic mike type person for wealthy old ladies .

Next time I see somebody that I'm pissed at, instead of saying "F$#k you", I'm going to yell "Dry slot you!" :) Or instead of telling them to go to Hell, I'm going to say "You can go straight to Dry Slot"

If it makes you feel better all the snow those people got tonight will be destroyed by the overnight rain . They will wake up to puddles unfortunately . Evil yes but if the snow never made it to daybreak does it count ?

Nope. In fact, that is worse than not even snowing. That would basically be mother nature spitting in our face

I'm taking the snow 10/10 times. If anyone says they wouldn't they are a liar
 
I'm so glad we've wasted almost a whole winter on a record breaking -NAO. Doesn't matter where a storm tracks if there's no cold air for it to work with. Seasonal just doesn't cut it for snow in the SE.
 
I listened to JB's weatherbell video... sounds like he's expecting cold and stormy for the next 2-3 weeks, then possible moderation by end of month, entering March. So much for Marvelous March.
 
RDU has not recorded a low below 0°F since 1985. We came close in 2000 post-Carolina Crusher (I think RDU bottomed out around 0-1). We might've gotten below zero in January 2018 had we not ended up in a dry slot (pretty sure Sanford and Greenville got below zero on January 7, 2018). Subzero lows around here are extremely anomalous, about a once-in-a-50 years type of event (and potentially becoming less common). Most plausible way would involve a significant Arctic outbreak with a significant snowpack, which is very rare around here.

Think we have 3 recorded years that went subzero total out of 130 plus? Definitely rare ! Thank god for that.1899, 1977, 1985 and I think maybe one more so 4?
