Christmas 2010 flashback 
Here's my video I made during the 2010 Christmas Snow:
Talk about some weird temperature differences in a 100 mile radius of Chattanooga: it's 50 degrees here(somehow, I guess a jet engine blew over the thermometer), 32 in Dalton, Ga, 40 miles away, and 30 in Huntsville, Al, 100 miles away. Quite strange.
Edit: okay, now the new reading at the NWS office is 40.. went, 48, 49, 50, then next hour dropped to 40:

If Chattanooga's airport wasn't so close to downtown, there would be a rather significant effect on temp stats. Knox's McGhee-Tyson is almost rural by comparison.
That one really pissed me off because it was my birthday. It only had to shift north 100 miles or so and I would have seen that. LOL
